Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
DRS Sustainment Systems requires an extension of authorization for a period of six months or less to complete testing of the Blighter radar product for possible integration into Counter Unmanned Aircraft Systems (CUAS) by the U.S. military. Additional testing is necessary to determine if the Blighter radar has sufficiently high detection performance to be reliable for CUAS operations. Applicants U.S. government customers have need for radar products, but further testing of the Blighter product is necessary before it can be offered in connection with critical systems.
