Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
DRS Sustainment Systems requires an extension of authorization for a period of six months or less to complete testing of the Blighter radar product for possible integration into Counter Unmanned Aircraft Systems (CUAS) by the U.S. military. Additional testing is necessary to determine if the Blighter radar has sufficiently high detection performance to be reliable for CUAS operations. Applicants U.S. government customers have need for radar products, but further testing of the Blighter product is necessary before it can be offered in connection with critical systems.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  The purpose of operation is to complete testing of the detection capabilities of the Blighter radar for use in CUAS operations. The system being tested in already developed, but testing is required to test its performance for military CUAS use. No jamming will be conducted in connection with testing.
