(DRS SSI) currently has a Special Temporary Authority (STA) FCC License for an experimental version of our radar system, the AN/PPS-5C, call sign WC9XUI. This STA will expire on March 26, 2008. We have are applying for an FCC License for the radar system that is licensed by this STA. The new application number is 0106-EX-PL-2008. In addition, we currently have a license from the NTIA for the military use of our radar system. The JF-12 associated with this license is attached to our application. DRS SSI is still actively involved in performing demonstrations of our radar system in conjunction with the Secure Border Initiative Network (SBINet) program that is sponsored by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Currently, we have provided 9 (nine) radar systems to Boeing, the SBInet Prime Contractor, who is demonstrating the feasibility of the SBInet Program under contract to DHS in a 28 Mile section of the U.S. border with the Republic of Mexico in the Tucson, Arizona area. In addition, DRS SSI is being requested to demonstrate our experimental radar system in conjunction with future applications of border security related to the DHS SBInet Program. It is imperative that we do not experience a lapse in time during which the radar is not licensed. Please expedite the processing of license application so that our renewal will be granted before the expiration of our current STA license.
