Special Temporary Authority application - Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
We will be transmitting at various frequencies as part of electromagnetic compatibility testing of space flight electronic components. An STA is necessary because these tests, normally performed in a screen room, must be performed in a non-shielded facility due to extraordinary cleanliness requirements. Transmissions will occur for several seconds at a time at each of the frequencies to be considered. The testing is expected to last three days.
