From: MASAHIRO TAGUCHI To: Jose Trevino Date: August 06, 2008 Subject: FCC file number 0297-EX-PL-2008 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Message: Dear Sirs, (1)Please provide the description of the operation to be conducted and its purpose in details; We would like to obtain data for verification of the operation of the all-vehicle-speed-range ACC (ranging from a stopped state to high speed) system under the different road environment by conducting the experiment, a normal driving test on public highway and expressway in the U.S. The all-vehicle-speed-range ACC system aiming at improvement of driver-convenience is equipped with vehicles for Europe and Japan, and it is not introduced into the U.S. market under the existing FCC regulation, which requires to reduce the radiated power while the vehicle is not in motion. We would like to apply for the authorization to obtain optimum data to explain the effectiveness of the system to vehicle manufacturers in the U.S. (2) Will the experimental be operating 2700 kilometers from Kansas City, Kansas? Please verify the location. We actually do not intend to conduct the experiment 2700Km from Kansas City. We would like to obtain data by conducting a driving test on any types of road all over the U.S. Thank you.
