Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Air Force Research Labs (AFRL) has contracted Cubic to perform a demonstration with 3rd generation hardware (Halo) in the August 2021 to January 2022 timeframe. A STA is required to allow Cubic to obtain approval to operate radios in the Ku (14-15GHz) bands for the demonstration.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  Cubic plans to perform a demonstration of the HALO system for our AFRL customer. Frequency authorization is requested to complete practice/dry run testing and system demonstration in the August 2021 to January 2022 timeframe. Halo is a data link system which can carry data, command and control, and full motion video between nodes. For this demonstration all data links will be terrestrial as all nodes are located on the companys campus, although the system is ultimately designed to operate between aircraft and ground terminals. There are no Satellite communications capabilities.
