Please explain the purpose of operation:
This is to demonstrate the compatability of DRM (Digital Radio Mondiale) transmitted along with a conventional AM Signal. The transmitted signal will be transmitted by KKLFs regular 1700 kHz transmitter that will also amplify (by EER) a DRM signal to be transmitted only on the upper sideband to prevent nightime interference to other extended band stations. The composite signal will be a telephone broadcast and a telephony broadcast via DRM. The designator is 20K0W9E and will originate from KKLF site at 33° 25 23.00 N Latitude; 96° 39 45.00 W Longitude (NAD 27) using a 100.6 Meter (199° electrical) tower using KKLFs Broadcast Electronics BE-1A transmitter. The digital signal will be transmitted only on the upper sideband. KKLFs main carrier signal will be bandwidth limited to 4.5kHz. The DRM signal will be generated by a TransRadio DRM Exciter in USB mode and the signal spectrum will be from 1705-1715kHz. The DRM signal will be at an average power of 10Watts
