Purpose of Experimental License Modification

This modification application seeks to delate one currently authorized S-band channel
(2086.66-2087.66 MHz) from its experimental license under Call Sign WC2XWA, and to add an
alternative frequency (2070.46-2071.46 MHz) for use at the Comtech TCS Guam Down Range
Station located at Yona, Guam. The modification is sought in order to meet the specific
frequency requirements of the Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency, which contracts with
Comtech for tracking, telemetry and control services in connection with up to four space vehicle
launches per year originating from the Tanegashima Space Center. All operating parameters for
the new frequency will be identical to what was previously authorized for the deleted frequency.
