Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
We are pursuing the STA route, since the frequency authorization is needed for a relatively short time. It will be used for 1-2 weeks, but the application timeframe will be greater to accommodate unpredictable scheduling.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  Centauri is the prime contractor for a DARPA program which will perform an airborne synthetic aperture radar test collection near the Willow Run airport in Ypsilanti, MI. The two airborne radars already have separate frequency authorizations in-hand. This STA application is for a ground-based, low-power RF transmitter. Functionally, it will receive the signal from the airborne radar and re-transmit a low-power signal back to the airborne radar.
