PROGRAM OF RESEARCH AND EXPERIMENTATION

Verizon Wireless is working with equipment manufacturers to demonstrate
applications using various bandwidths during an upcoming technology summit.

The fixed base stations and mobile terminals will employ directional,
beamforming antennas pointing north, and any antennas pointing south, southwest, or
southeast will have a maximum antenna elevation of 0 degree or below from the horizon.
The base station antenna has a half-power beam width of approximately 10º both vertical
and horizontal. Additional technical parameters are specified in the accompanying STA
Form.
