Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Camgian Microsystems is under contract with the U.S. Army (contract #W911NF-16-C-0086). Part of the tasking within this contract is to conduct research and development utilizing a battery operated, portable radar system that Camgian has designed (product name is Prowl) for C-band frequency range operation (5604-5924 MHz). The designed center frequency is 5764MHz. As part of this contracted research and development effort, testing of the radar system is required to verify functionality and to validate the signal processing algorithms developed for operation. Camgian is requesting this STA in order to perform those necessary tests.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  Camgian intends to operate the Prowl radar unit in and around its design facilities and in nearby agricultural fields. Camgian intends to operate the Prowl radar unit in and around its design facilities and in nearby agricultural fields (owned and operated by Mississippi State University, a subcontractor to our government contract) to test the operation of the radar, to validate performance of signal processing algorithms and to collect data for further refinement and improvement of advanced signal processing algorithms.
