We have coordinated the following frequency Downlink /Uplink 437,400 MHz Please let us know what the final launch date is. It is important to establish what other satellites using amateur frequencies are on the same launch as duplication can occur and frequencies have to be changed at the last minutes to prevent interference immediate after launch. Please note that all frequencies in the amateur satellite service are shared frequencies. We have attempted to make the best possible selection for your project. You are also referred to the ITU requirements for satellites. We have prepared an easy reference document which is available on www.iaru.org/satellite, it will assist you to comply with the ITU requirements for Amateur satellites. Please advise me the API details once you have received the information from your regulator. Please also read the “controlling satellites” document available on www.iaru.org/satellite While coordinating the frequency noted above, we also note that use of frequencies as described in your request for frequency coordination appears inconsistent with numbers 1.56 and 1.57 of the ITU radio regulations. RR 1.56 amateur service: A radiocommunication service for the purpose of self- training, intercommunication and technical investigations carried out by amateurs, that is, by duly authorized [licensed] persons [individual natural people] interested in radio technique solely with a personal aim [for themselves] and without pecuniary interest [compensation]. We strongly suggest consulting with your administration (telecommunication regulator) to determine if the amateur-satellite service or another radiocommunication service is appropriate for your operation.
