Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
The STA is necessary to trial pre-commercial LTE equipment, and gather performance data including operational characteristics of LTE technology from various vendors.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  The STA will allow the determination of building loss and radio path propagation characteristics in a variety of different environments using OFDM-modulated waveforms, and will allow demonstration of performance of pre-certified base station and mobile units in operation using the LTE standard in a variety of channel bandwidths to gauge radio performance and data throughput.
