Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Applicant is a television microwave and communications equipment rental company which provides video, audio and communications for broadcast, satellite broadcast and cablecast of sporting and other events. Applicant has certain LTTS, BAS and private wireless licenses for this purpose. However, the spectrum demands at sports events, and the limited LTTS/BAS spectrum for these events makes it necessary to make coordinated, temporary use of additional channels in the vicinity of 1 to 2 GHz and TV channels . Such is necessary to have sufficient video relay from RF cameras at numerous locations at a golf course, or in arenas, as well as communications, while allowing normal ENG use of the BAS spectrum at the same time in a given venue.
Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:
Provide portable video, audio and logistics communications at televised sports events and other activities of national significance.
