DESCRIPTION OF RESEARCH PROJECT
CCO Fiberlink, LLC (“Charter”), a limited liability company and subsidiary of Charter
Communications, Inc., seeks a modification of its existing two-year experimental license (Call
Sign WI2XZY) to add additional sites in the Bakersfield, California area to test and evaluate
millimeter wave coverage and capacity performance in anticipation of 5G wireless development.
All other information in the existing authorization, including the equipment that will be used for
testing, remains unchanged and is incorporated by reference.1 Due to limited use of the
requested bands in the proposed locations, Charter does not anticipate that testing at these
additional sites will cause harmful interference to incumbent licensees, and Charter will work
closely with the equipment vendor to ensure no interference occurs.
