                                EXHIBIT 1

      The Radio and Television News Divisions of CBS Broadcasting Inc.,

will be using the INMARSAT Terminals for which an authorization is being

requested by this application. The INMARSAT terminals will be used for

relaying news stories back to the main studios of CBS Radio and Television.

These stories will be transmitted using high—speed data as broadcast quality

voice and video is needed. The INMARSAT terminal will be used for

communications only where no alternate means of communications exist.

       CBS Broadcasting Inc., licensee of Experimental Radio Station KM2XJW

Ohio, is an entity wholly controlled by CBS Corporation ("CBS"). There have

been no reportable adverse findings or final actions made or taken against CBS

or other parties to the application, except as have been previously reported to the

Commission in the Annual Litigation Report filed with Commission on June 2,

1999, on behalf of CBS and affiliated licensees pursuant to Section 1.65 of the

Commission‘s Rules, and in other major applications filed on behalf of CBS and

its subsidiaries.

                                 EXHIBIT 3

        The purpose of this application is to request the modification of the
 license of Experimental Station KM2XJW. The applicant proposes to change
 the models and types of terminals used to the following INMARSAT approved
 terminals:
