This project is focused on the demonstration of a new radar system that will perform air traffic
control for military and civilian applications. It will be conducted in support of a United States
Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) Cooperative Research and Development
Agreement (CRADA) to:
   • Collaboratively explore, develop, and potentially demonstrate innovations in/techniques
of mitigating the performance degradations imposed on air traffic radars by obstacles
       including wind turbines.
   • Conduct field trials of the pertinent techniques, including hardware and software
components, supporting equipment and procedures, and user interfaces to assess utility in
       mitigating performance impacts.
The products of the collaborative research will be paper studies and/or field trials on the
techniques’ feasibility, utility, proposed Concepts of Operations, costs, and risks.
The CRADA number is currently TBD.
