Subject: Coordination of Frequencies for Special Aeronautical Events
This Memorandum is not an authority to transmit; it only satisfies the prerequisite to coordinate with the
Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). A transmit authorization or license needs to be obtained from the
Federal Communications Commission (FCC); you MUST NOT transmit on these frequencies until the
license is received. This memorandum provides coordination numbers that you will need to obtain a Special
Temporary Authorization (STA)/frequency license from the FCC.

In response to your airshow request, the FAA has engineered four Very High Frequencies (VHF)s for use in
the 2018 Indianapolis Motor Speedway Red Bull Air Race. Use the “AS T” coordination numbers at the
bottom of this memorandum to apply for your STAs with the FCC. Once the STAs are obtained, the
frequencies must be used in accordance with the information below:

Start and end dates: September 29 through October 9, 2018

           Transmitter/Receiver Location
