Special Temporary Authority application - Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
This regards a request by Broad Comm, Inc. (Broad Comm) for Special Temporary Authority (STA) to allow use of frequencies in several different bands for the purpose of providing coverage and logistics support for the US Open Tennis Tournament and related activities for the period of August 20, 2018 through September 10, 2018 (including setup and take down) . The event will be held at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, Flushing, NY. Broad Comm provides radio frequency support services to various entities at major events. The FCC has granted Broad Comm and others similar requests for numerous previous events. The number of frequencies requested is due to the size of the event and to allow for reasonable access to the shared spectrum that will likely have other users.
