EXHIBIT #1: DESCRIPTION OF RESEARCH PROJECT

Blue Origin is a small aerospace research and development company based in Seattle,
Washington, that is developing commerical launch vehicle technology. The desired FCC
license applies to the telemetry downlink for an autonomous low-speed, low-altitude aerial
vehicle that is being built by Blue Origin. This vehicle will be operated out of our private facility
near Van Horn, Texas. The aerial vehicle will have a digital telemetry downlink that operates at
a bit rate of approximately two million symbols per second, with a modulation type of frequency
shift keying. The analog bandwidth for this telemetry downlink is approximately 1.5 MHz. The
aerial vehicle will reach an altitude of approximately 1500 feet AGL, and it will communicate with
the operations control center that is located approximately 5 miles away. The transmit EIRP of
the aerial vehicle will not exceed 0 dBW.
