Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Temporary use of requested frequencies is necessary to perform brief functional checks at the Bell Helicopter flight test facility in Arlington, Texas. Functional checks are required to verify proper integration of the systems with Bell military aircraft prior to deploying to government military base.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  To perform brief functional checks at the Bell Helicopter flight test facility in Arlington, Texas The purpose of performing preliminary checks in Arlington, Texas is only to verify proper functionality for a day or two and have time to fix any issues prior to deploying to US military base, since there will be no time to functionally check the system once deployed. System readiness is pursuant to effort authorized by modification to Bell’s JMR TIA contract number W911W6-13-2-0001 with the US Army Aviation Applied Technology Directorate, Ft. Eustis, Virginia. Specific systems being checked are the AeroVironment Switchblade Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) and hardware used for the Persistent Close Air Support (PCAS) program.
