Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
The STA is necessary in order to operate the methane detection system in the field in frequency hopping mode (915MHz band). The radio mode is necessary to pass data from the methane sensors and the base station that collects the data. The radio mode must be tested in the field under real world conditions.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  To establish a link between the methane sensors and the base station. The purpose of the operation of the radio in frequency hopping mode is to establish a link between the methane sensors and the base station that collects the data from all the sensors at the site. Frequency hopping mode will be tested under field conditions to establish the reliability of the radio mode under real world conditions.
