Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
By the instant application (“STA Request”), BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems Integration Inc. (“BAE Systems”) requests that the Commission grant Special Temporary Authority (“STA”) to permit BAE Systems to operate the facilities (the “Facilities”) specified in the instant STA Request.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  The DARPA Trident Spectre 2019 Test Event. The testing at the Merrimack Test Range is a critical part of the proof of concept and engineering development process required in support of Homeland Security efforts. Specifically, this by this STA Request, BAE Systems seeks authority for airborne operations which are related to the DARPA Trident Spectre 2019 Test Event.
