Supplement to Reply to Correspondence

Ms. Nguyen:

Yesterday, at the request of the Commission BAE Systems provided various materials and information
concerning the transmit antenna characteristics for the airborne transmissions in the 2010-2100 MHz
band.

This message is to supplement yesterday's submission with new data received from the manufacturer.
Specifically, BAE Systems has now received the antenna pattern for the subject transmitting antenna.
The pattern received from the manufacturer has been provided to you directly by e-mail, such pattern was
not available yesterday under the extremely quick response timeframe specified in the Commission's
inquiry.

As a result of receiving the antenna pattern today, BAE Systems is pleased to report that the antenna
pattern received today demonstrates an even more favorable scenario with respect to interference
mitigation. Specifically, the actual elevation of the 3dB beamwidth is anticipated to be +16°/-30°, rather
than 10° as reported yesterday based on reasonable engineering assumptions made with information
then-available. It is worth noting that this improved elevation figure exists even with the antenna pointing
up. Accordingly, BAE Systems clarifies that once the experiment begins, the company will mount the
antenna in a way that best optimizes the patterns pointing towards the ground, whether that is with the
antenna pointing up or down.

Should any further information be required, please do not hesitate to contact undersigned counsel.

Best regards,

Jeffrey Rummel
