FCC File: 0123-EX-PL-2002
Subject: Experimental license with regional authority justification

Note: This attachment supercedes the Nationwide Authority Justification exhibit
previously submitted.

Regional Coverage:
Use of the radio during development and in support of FAA sponsored NEXCOM
evaluation activities, includes operation in the following sites:

Avidyne internal development centers: Lincoln, MA; and Palm Bay, FL.

Operational activities include stationary and airborne mobile operations around these two
sites. An operational area of 100 mile radius around each of these locations is anticipated
to support airborne mobile tests.

Frequency Request:
Avidyne requests two test frequencies in the aeronautical VHF communications band of
118-137 MHz. One test frequency would be for use in and around the Lincoln, MA,
facility. The other frequency would be for use in and around the Palm Bay, FL, facility.
Note: It would be acceptable if a single frequency can be assigned that covers both
locations.

Emissions Designators:
Avidyne intends to transmit the following types of signals identified by the corresponding
FCC emission designators. All three signal types are included in the FAA contract
identified in Attachment 3.
