Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
We are requesting an STA due to the immediate need for spectrum approval for the RF devices being tested as part of the NASA SIO program.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  As part of the SIO program AATI is required to perform a flight demonstration with detect and avoid (DAA) equipment on board the UAS. The DAA radar equipment will only be used to collect experimental data, not for collision avoidance. The flight will demonstrate the potential use of UAS for critical infrastructure inspection.
