Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
This STA is associated with recently filed application file # 0132-EX-PL-2001. ARINC Incorporated, The MITRE Corporation, and the USAF Electronic Systems Command wish to conduct system integration testing at the Air Force's Reconfigurable Cockpit and Avionics Testbed (RCAT), using FCC Type Accepted data link aircraft radios. The RTCA is a ground station that simulates an aircraft. It will communicate with other ground stations that simulate operations centers. The reason for the this STA request is to allow testing to be conducted immediately and without delay. These tests involve safety service frequencies and as such are needed to ensure proper installation and compatibility aboard military aircraft.
