FCC FORM 442 Item 10 EXHIBIT A a) The purpose of this experimental radio communications is for use by Amoco emergency response personnel to respond to emergencies result— ing from natural disasters, chemical release, fires, and oil spills. Data will be transmitted via INMARSAT within North America. b) It is critical that Amoco respond to emergencies caused by hazardous materials such as chemicals and oils. These materials are detri— mental to personnel as well as the surrounding environment. c) This type of communications will be used in remote areas when no reliable or local communication facilities exist.
