Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
3G Wireless, LLC requests that the Commission grant it temporary authority to operate on the frequencies centered at 2246MHz, 2256MHz, 2266MHz, 2276MHz and 2286MHz with an 8 MHz bandwidth from May 30, 2019 through September 22, 2019 with intermittent usage. As explained below, 3G Wireless, LLC is filing an STA request to provide four RF camera systems to various Stadiums throughout the country during the Professional Lacrosse League season for NBC’s presentation of “(PLL) Professional Lacrosse League games”. 3G Wireless, LLC submits that there are extraordinary circumstances warranting a grant of the STA request. NBC/NBCSN has contracted 3G Wireless, LLC to provide four wireless camera systems to operate within Stadiums throughout the continental United States for their telecasts. Due to the extreme frequency congestion throughout the United States, coupled with the added congestion from traditional Television and News coverage of area events, 3G Wireless requests the use of these channels.
Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:
To enhance coverage of the events by providing on the spot pictures and camera control from mobile locations. 3G Wireless, LLC certifies that the operation of the requested channel for the purposes specified herein will not cause interference to any established stations. Grant of the instant request for STA for 2246MHz, 2256MHz, 2266MHz, 2276MHz and 2286MHz would serve the public interest by enabling 3G Wireless, LLC to supply the requested remote camera systems for television coverage. The proposed service would enhance coverage of the events by providing on the spot pictures and camera control from mobile locations that would not otherwise be available to the production company.
