HTC plans to set up a Stand-alone (SA) 5G Private demo at LA MWC event to showcase HTC 5G cloud Edge based Virtual Reality (VR) solution to help T-Mobile US mobile operators and Lumen demonstrate Private 5G based edge cloud VR solution to enterprise customers. T-Mobile will not have any spectrum available at MWC for private 5G demo and thus requiring STA.

HTC would like to have a neutral site leveraging FCC STA experimental licensing using n78 before developing operator specific Radio Unit (RU) based on the interests from the mobile operators.

The HTC private 5G ORAN platform (RU, DU/CU, and 5GC) coupled with HTC Focus 3 HMD and HTC edge server running NVidia CloudXR rendering software will be used to demonstrated HTC unique algorithm to support high number of concurrent VR streams over extended range with special handover handling among different RUs without overhead and framedrop as would if standard based HO procedure is used.
