Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
The applicant requests Special Temporary Authorization to conduct limited-duration experimental interoperability testing of Bluetooth higher bands devices at a Broadcom indoor location. The purpose of the operation is to evaluate interoperability of prototype, pre-commercial, or experimental Bluetooth devices operating in higher bands corresponding to U-NII-1, UNII-3, UNII-4 and UNII-5 in the United States. Testing will be limited to within these bands only and will occur indoors in assigned meeting room space at 16340 West Bernardo Dr, San Diego, CA 92127. Operation is expected to occur intermittently during scheduled IOP test sessions from September 07-11, 2026, between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM Pacific Time daily.

Special Temporary Authority application - Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:
The proposed operation will involve temporary, non-commercial, indoor interoperability (IOP) testing of Bluetooth prototype, pre-commercial, or experimental devices among Broadcom and other Bluetooth SIG member companies. Testing will be conducted within assigned meeting room space at the venue and will be limited to the requested U-NII-1, U-NII-3, U-NII-4 and U-NII-5 frequencies. Operation will be intermittent and limited to scheduled IOP test sessions from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Pacific Time daily. No outdoor operation is planned.
