Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
This regards a request by Broad Comm, Inc. (Broad Comm) for Special Temporary Authority (STA) to allow use of eight AFTRCC coordinated frequencies for the purpose of providing coverage and logistics support for the US Open Tennis Championships and related activities for the period of August 3, 2026 through September 15, 2026 (including setup, testing, event & post coverage and take down). This event will be held at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, Flushing, NY. Please note this request is in addition to the previously requested STA File No 1341-EX-ST-2026. Two AFTRCC coordinations were requested in keeping with AFTRCC policy to not grant a single coordination for more than 30 days. The AFTRCC coordinations to cover the requested time period have been received and copies are attached. Broad Comm provides radio frequency support services to various entities at major events. The FCC has granted Broad Comm and others similar requests for numerous previous events.
