Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Applicant wishes to conduct a short-term, terrestrial and shipboard-only technical demonstration and proof of concept testing for the United States Coast Guard of a mobile (MANET) product during a period of two weeks in the area of New London, Connecticut, and within a radius of 20 miles. The communications system is not yet equipment authorized and the frequency range is not available for unlicensed or licensed, non-government operation. See attached Narrative.
