Special Temporary Authority application - Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:
Haras proposes to test one Echodyne radar unit to evaluate its ability to detect, track, and generate realistic aircraft location data for a customer demonstration. The radar will be operated at any one of the four locations listed below. Testing will occur only at one site at a time. The radar will be tripod-mounted on the rooftop of existing facilities, operating in the 15.7-16.55 GHz frequency band. The radar will act as its own receiver. Haras currently holds an experimental STA to operate this radar unit in another location (file no. 0886-EX-ST-2026); the instant application requests identical authority except for the requested testing locations.
