Special Temporary Authority application - Explanation

Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:

This regards a request by Broad Comm, Inc. (Broad Comm) for Special Temporary Authority (STA) to allow use of numerous frequencies for the purpose of providing coverage and logistics support for the US Open Tennis Championships and related activities for the period of August 3, 2026 through September 15, 2026 (including setup, testing, event & post coverage and take down). This event will be held at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, Flushing, NY. Broad Comm provides radio frequency support services to various entities at major events. The FCC has granted Broad Comm and others similar requests for numerous previous events. The large number of frequencies requested here are necessary to provide coverage for an event of this magnitude. Please note the attached interference agreement concerning the use of TV channel 2 in the New York City area.
