Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Globalstar is already licensed for use of the communication frequencies. The only change from Globalstars currently licensed operations is that the Globalstar constellation will be receiving transmissions from the FCC-approved module on a space station rather than communicating with this terminals from an Earth-based location. Globalstars License does not cover space-to-space operation, thus requiring this request for Special Temporary Authority.

To support communications for the UbiquitiLink CubeSat mission. The purpose of this Special Temporary Authority is to allow the applicant to provide communications for the UbiquitiLink CubeSat mission, which has been approved by the FCC (File 0646-EX-ST-2019, CallSign WO9XPA). The objectives of the UbiquitiLink project are presented in FCC File 0646-EX-ST-2019.
