The purpose of this operation is proof of concept/baseline testing for the Man Portable Unit 5 or MPU5 for air-to-ground links up to 30km at lower S-band frequencies(2200-2300MHz). This testing will serve as a baseline for future air-to-ground applications for small manned and unmanned aircraft for all parties involved. There will be one ground based directional antenna and one airborne mobile antenna.
