Special Temporary Authority application - Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Experiments are designed to test a passively sense radio frequency spectrum device across 0.3-30 GHz, in receive mode only, at S2s Home Location 2310 University Way, Bozeman, MT 59715 in Feb/March 2013. The receiver is wideband. In order to calibrate the receiver system and demonstrate direction finding in a real world environment, we intend to transmit RF from directional antennas at the field and street adjacent to our office at 2310 University Way, Bozeman, MT 59715 up to 1W with 90 degree directional antennas in azimuth and with 60 degree in elevation (Tx parallel to the ground) toward the passive receiver. The transmission would be 1 or 2 cw test tones from a signal generator (or 2 summed), with or without internal modulation of 30 MHz of the signal generators. These would be list swept across designated bands with dwell times between 100 ms and 1 ms.
