Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
The MITRE Corporation seeks an FCC special Temporary Authority License to perform HF ionospheric sounding between 3.5 and 16 MHz from Camp Grafton North Dakota from 1 July through 1 November 2019. The sounding signal provides real time knowledge of the ionosphere to inform frequency selection and enable the AFRL, MITLL and MITRE team to interpret test results. The sounding is a test aid.
