Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
STA is necessary to permit short term health and status testing of Atlantic Bird 7 communications satellite at Sea Launch program Home Port facilities and on-board Sea Launch vessels in Long Beach, CA prior to deployment to sea for launch at Sea Launch equatorial launch site in the Pacific Ocean. Typical test duration is a few days and will be conducted with the satellite first while in the Sea Launch Payload Processing Facility and then while encapsulated in the launch vehicle fairing with the launch vehicle erected on the Launch Platform.
