Special Temporary Authority application - Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Due to a variety of circumstances our application for license modification and submittal for payment was made very late. Subsequently, by no fault of the FCC Experimental License Department, standard processing of our application will cause our experimental aircraft project extreme hardship. This includes the hiring and housing of special test pilots from California, the temporary assignment of Honda Associates from Japan to Greensboro, and significant expense preparation of the aircraft for this series of tests. The delay will also cause serious set back to our development schedule. Due to the potentially damaging impact on our project we must request that your office consider expediting our application request through the application process. We understand that there may be additional expense for expedited processing and stand ready to pay upon your request. Sincerely, Richard Eldridge Chief/Procurement Honda R&D Americas, Inc. 336-254-1704 Voice 336-662-0852 Fax
