Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Our Company, Northern Defense Industries, Inc. would like to obtain a STA to hold a 1-2 day demonstration (only about 1 hour per day) with a land-based radar system. The marine radar is a Kelvin Hughes SharpEye solid state X-Band radar mounted to a mobile trailer. The equipment that we would like to use for our demonstration has previously had an FCC grant of equipment authorization. It operates in the same band as the radars on boats (x-band) operating in the waterway that we would like to use for the demonstration. Our demonstration will be very short ~ 1 hour of radar use.
