Special Temporary Authority application - Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
This STA is needed to demonstrate a prototype unit to the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) to verify the ability of the system to measure the surface of rock faces near highways and detect changes that could be indications of dangerous falling rock conditions. This is a new experiment in support of a trade study with the Colorado Department of Transportation. At this point our system is being compared against additional technologies in a single round of testing. This system has previously been operated under STA license Experimental File Numbers 0447-EX-ST-2008 and 0128-EX-ST-2009. Aside from the station locations identified within the orginal STA the system shall also be operated Empire (Clear Creek), CO - NL 39-45-34; WL 105-39-30.
