No new changes in experimental design have been made. These experimental efforts utilize a non-commercial HF radar system to conduct research on new methods in ocean sensing that are not possible using commercially available systems. This extension would be used to collect data for two studies, funded by the National Science Foundation, during the next two years. These efforts focus on measuring ocean surface winds remotely with the land-based systems as well as high spatial resolution ocean currents. We note that this extension would also fill the gap in permit coverage between the present time and the start of the ITU band implementation in March 2022.
