Special Temporary Authority application - Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:
To conduct a series of experiments and evaluations employing ground surveillance radar equipment to detect and track moving targets. ITT Exelis is currently pursuing the Integrated Fixed Towers Request for Proposal for the Department of Homeland Security (Solicitation Number HSBP1012R0024). One of the requirements of the effort is that the Contractor must perform an Operational Capability Demonstration (OCD) for its solution prior to contract award. We are using our STA experimental license for our Operational Capability Demonstration to the Government in Arizona.
