Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
MinerMote LLC in conjuction with Amplisine Labs LLC have focused on the development of a gateway (MinerGate) node to assist in oil and gas operations in the West Texas region. This gateway node will be able to operate on two different frequency ranges. Specifically, the ranges of 620-632 MHz and 668-680 MHz. The purpose of seeking the STA from the FCC is for the sole purpose of design and development. The experiments will take place throughout a 3 month period, which is less than the 6-month maximum for an STA. Each test during the testing period will not last longer than 8 hours and tests will not be performed longer than 4 consecutive days in a row.

The monitoring site will perform data mining and summarize the data. The monitoring data will then be transmitted through a mesh network back to head quarters. Examples of the data to be transmitted are oil tank levels, pump speed, pressure, seperator tank levels, and other performance information related to an oil and water seperation station and its pumping system.
