A special Temporary Authorization license is required in order to perform short term characterization and performance verification of the RT-1944A/U tactical radio which is under contract with the United States Navy Office of Naval Research. The over the air testing is required for a short period of time which is less than 6 months. The band of operation is 2200 to 2240 MHz.
